About HEC

Supporting decision making with evidence and insights

We engage with the wide health and care community in providing academic-quality evaluations and assessment services from a range of relevant perspectives.

We draw on a range of approaches to generate evidence and insights useful for decision making. This includes economic evaluation, return-on-investment analysis, cost-of-illness, pricing and business impact analysis (revenue/market share etc.). Such work is typically underpinned by rigorous evidence review and synthesis.

Often, such analyses are provided in the form of cutting edge, customised economic models, drawing on a range of relevant data and stakeholder-informed assumptions related to costs, efficacy and outcomes.

We are pleased to offer a combined team of experienced health economists, and other quantitative and qualitative researchers to undertake projects on your behalf.

HEC staff carry a vast experience of healthcare topics and a reputation for ground-breaking work in the areas of medical technology, digital health, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, clinical pathway redesign, complex interventions and public health interventions.

We are also able to access wider expertise through being part of a long-established academic health economics group within UEA and also well connected with diverse methodological and clinical experts across the university and allied organisations.
