Prof. Richard Fordham

Professor of Public Health Economics

Ric is a Professor of Health Economics at Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia. He has experience across a diverse range of healthcare issues, both in the UK and internationally, and is widely sought after by expert and non-expert groups alike for his knowledge, experience and insights into complex efficiency issues. He remains and has been a member of several national and international committees and has consulted widely to government and other health bodies. Ric has published over 50 papers and specialises in conducting evaluations alongside clinical trials; economic evaluations of innovation; return-on-investment studies etc. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and has a strong interest in public health economics. In applied work he integrates knowledge of healthcare systems with microeconomics to enable problems of priority setting, efficiency, productivity etc. to be addressed.
